Song-maker of Mull.
Mairghread nighean Lachlainn, who may have lived on Mull from about 1660 till about 1750 and was probably a MacLean, is a perfect example of the Gaelic clan poet of her time. This edition contains the eleven existing songs of her composition, all in highly formal praise of the MacLean or Duart family or their close kinsmen.
