Myles Campbell's first collection of short stories is set in a wide variety of locations - from Paris to Jerusalem, from Ness to Henley-on-Thames - and many points in time. We meet a family burnt out of their home in the 19th century Highland Clearances, and Cindy and Dez who travel to Mars and back. We meet Tim, the vegetarian in Glasgow and the Reverend Walter Anderson challenged by a thief on a train. A variety of styles from light and amusing to some stories which are deeper and darker, with the supernatural world appearing from time to time, makes for both an entertaining and thought-provoking read.
