Gaelic Grammar and Written Language Courses for Writers

The Gaelic Books Council delivers Gaelic grammar and written language courses for writers. The courses are taught by Michel Byrne, a linguistics expert who has been teaching at The University of Glasgow for many years and has written several Gaelic grammar textbooks.

We offer different levels of the Gaelic grammar and written language courses: the Introductory Course, which teaches fundamental grammar rules for writers, the Grammar and Written Language Course, which is suitable for adults with some understanding of Gaelic grammar and who have experience of writing in Gaelic, and the Refresher Course, for those who have completed a grammar course before, but would like to refresh their knowledge.

These courses are ideal for writers, teachers and those who work in the media, but they are open to anyone who speaks Gaelic and wishes to improve their written grammar skills.
