Glasgow Islay Gaelic Choir, 2018.
Recorded live at the Glasgow University Union, the concert predominatly features arrangements of Runrig songs by Kirsteen Grant, the current choir conductor and Mod gold medallist (1964). A number of wonderful solo performances were given by choir members including Mod gold medallist Iain Maclean of Skye (2010) and Catriona MacNeil of Barra (2015) and Mod traditional gold medallist Claire Macaulay of Lewis (2016).

In 1940, in Barra in the Outer Hebrides, an 18-year-old woman, Flòraidh, is persuaded to leave her island home when she learns that her stepmother intends to marry her off to the local shopkeeper. She follows her enigmatic friend Lavinia to the city and changes her identity to Laura, like a butterfly, leaving her chrysalis behind, as they join the war effort.
