Mary MacPherson was a prominent Gaelic poet towards the end of the 19th century. She supported the crofters during the land struggles and enjoyed a high standing amongst Gaels. The admiration for her and her poetry still exists today.
This book was originally published in 1977 and has been in high demand ever since. This new edition contains more poems than the original, as well as additional research and analysis on the poems and on the life of the poetess herself.
