This is the sixth poetry collection by Christopher Whyte (1952-). He was born in Glasgow and has degrees from the Universities of Cambridge, Perugia and Glasgow. After spending 12 years in Italy, he taught for 18 years at the Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow. He has published four novels in English, and translated four books of poetry from the Russian of Marina Tsvetaeva. Since 2006 he has lived in Budapest, Hungary.
