The autobiography of Thomas M Murchison (1907–1984) and an excellent read for learners and fluent speakers alike. The book spans the writer’s early years in Govan and Kylerhea providing an insightful and humorous depiction of this Highland community, both of the individuals and the way of life, in the early decades of the twentieth century. The text goes on to focus on his school days in Portree, his time as a student in Glasgow and finally his ministry in Glenelg and Glasgow as well as his involvement in the land reform movement in the Highlands, his work with An Comunn Gàidhealach and his contributions to writing and broadcasting in Gaelic.

This book follows on from Os Cionn Gleadhraich nan Sràidean, a selection of the Rev. Murchison's writings, which was published by the Scottish Gaelic Texts Society in 2010.
