Kildonan Museum, South Uist, 2017. 32 pages. Paperback.
Angus MacKay was born in 1936 and was raised on his family's croft at Ormiclate, South Uist. Angus was one of seven children and, together with his brother Donald John, worked their Ormiclate crofts for many years.
Crofting has always been a part of Angus' life and he has written a personal account about life on the croft during his younger days and how the months, the seasons and the weather impacted on the working day.
Angus' crofting life is rich in every way and the Kildonan Museum are delighted to share this account with you.
