Description
It's 1940 and the war in Europe is going strong, with Britain and France standing against Hitler's advancing armies. Well, so thought William MacLeod when he joined up. In France, nothing's happening, and all that William's war involves is fierce sergeants, tinned bully beef, guarding trenches for hours on end and the occasional short, sharp fight. This wasn't how he had expected the war to be, but he was beginning to get used to it...until the German armies started to prepare for a blitzkrieg for which neither France nor Britain were ready and which would lead William and his friends to a small town on the French coast, Saint Valéry-en-Caux.
