Description
A one-act play in Gaelic.
Here, in this crofting community in Lewis, we have two feuding neighbouring families. An ill-feeling between them, generated in the past with little reason and continued in the present with less. Who would believe that Iain and Beathag could be so different in their relations with their neighbours on either side? Who would believe that the offspring of the feuding families could become romantically attached? Who would believe it that offspring so apparently parentally-dominated could “gang their ain gait?”...and its effect on their families? Who would believe it?
