Description
A one-act play in Gaelic.
English Synopsis (Taken from the book)
In the autumn and winter of 1918/19 there spread across the whole world a pandemic of influenza which became known in different parts of the world by a variety of names – Spanish flu; La Grippe; and even German flu (this one with suspicion that it was deliberately introduced, like mustard gas, as a weapon of war.) Its death toll was enormous, civilian and military. It struck without warning and with rapid and deadly results.
In this play, a young soldier, invalided back from the trenches, returns home to a hero's welcome by his family, but initial rejoicing turns to tragedy.
